Kathmandu: Meetings of both houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled for today. The House of Representatives will meet at 11:00 AM at the multipurpose hall of the under-construction Federal Parliament building in Singha Durbar.
The agenda includes presenting a proposal to formally elect Dol Prasad Aryal, Vice-Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, as Speaker. Aryal has already been elected unopposed.
The National Assembly will meet at 12:15 PM. The session will include nomination and reshuffling of members in subject committees, as well as designation of members to chair meetings in the absence of the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to present the annual report of the National Women Commission for the fiscal year 2081/82.
