Kathmandu — The Department of Foreign Employment has instructed cyber centers and training institutes operating in and around its premises to remove misleading information related to “labour approval” by the end of Chaitra 30.
The Department stated that phrases such as “labour processing done here,” “labour approval services available,” “online labour forms filled here,” and other similar messages have been creating confusion among service seekers intending to go for foreign employment. Therefore, it has directed that such misleading information be removed immediately.
According to the Department, labour approval-related services are officially provided only by the Department of Foreign Employment and designated Labour and Employment Offices. Issuing a public notice today, the Department also urged all concerned to immediately cease any form of writing or publicity that could create misunderstanding regarding these services.
The Department further warned that failure to comply with this directive will result in legal action in accordance with the Foreign Employment Act, 2064 (2007) and other prevailing laws.
