Kathmandu: Air pollution has significantly increased in the Kathmandu Valley at present. According to the air quality monitoring website IQAir, as of 4:00 PM on Thursday, Nepal ranks first on the list of the world’s most polluted cities.
As reported by IQAir, Kathmandu’s Air Quality Index (AQI) has reached 204. Over the past few days, the sky across the Kathmandu Valley has remained heavily smoggy. Under current conditions, experts advise against engaging in outdoor physical activities such as morning walks and recommend avoiding going outside unless absolutely necessary.
