Barahathawa, Sarlahi: Two people died after falling along with a collapsing roof while construction work was underway in Malangwa. The incident occurred while workers were laying concrete on the roof of a four-storey concrete house owned by Ranjit Yadav in Ward No. 10 of Malangwa Municipality. The roof section intended for a water tank installation reportedly collapsed during the work.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Rai of the District Police Office, the deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Chhatu Sah of Malangwa Municipality–2 and 40-year-old Rajkishor Yadav of Haripurwa Municipality–2.
Both workers sustained critical injuries after falling with the collapsing structure and later died during treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa. Police said the bodies have been kept at the same hospital for post-mortem examination, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
