Kathmandu: Nepal is currently under the influence of western and local winds. According to the Hydrology and Meteorology Department’s Weather Forecasting Division, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is presently occurring in a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
The Department stated that on Monday afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, as well as Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, are expected to witness generally cloudy conditions. The mountainous and hilly areas of Madhesh Province and the remaining provinces will experience partly cloudy weather, while the remaining Terai regions are likely to remain mainly fair.
There is a possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, and at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Likewise, there is a chance of light rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places in the Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions. Temperatures are also likely to rise in the Terai areas of Sudurpashchim and Lumbini provinces.
Tonight, generally cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, as well as Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. The remaining hilly and mountainous regions will witness partly cloudy weather, while the rest of the Terai areas are expected to remain mainly fair.
The Department has also forecast the possibility of light rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces tonight.
