Kathmandu: A strong earthquake has struck the southern Philippine island of Mindanao.
The earthquake occurred near the coastal area of General Santos City at 7:37 a.m. local time (5:22 a.m. Nepal time).
There are currently differing reports regarding the exact magnitude and depth of the earthquake.
