PM Shah to attend Rastriya Swatantra Party’s first general convention

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Balendra Shah is set to participate in the first General Convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which is scheduled to commence in Chitwan on Asar 7 (according to the Nepali calendar). According to his secretariat, Shah will attend the convention in his capacity as a senior leader of the party and will continue to hold that role.

The secretariat stated that the Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Chitwan to take part in the convention’s opening session. However, it has not yet been determined how long he will remain at the venue following the inauguration.

“Senior Leader Shah will attend the opening session. It has not yet been finalized how long he will stay thereafter. The current schedule indicates that he will return after participating in the inaugural program,” the secretariat said.

Regarding the possibility of an address by Shah during the convention, the secretariat noted that no final decision has been made, although there is a likelihood that he will deliver remarks.

The first General Convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party will be held in Chitwan from Asar 7 to 9. The party has also stated that invitations have been extended to the country’s major political parties to participate in the event.
