Kathmandu: The National Examination Board (NEB) has officially published the Grade 12 examination results. The results were approved and made public following a board meeting held on Friday morning.
According to NEB Member Secretary Jung Bahadur Aryal, the board convened at 8:00 a.m. and decided to release the results. The board reported that 69.75 percent of candidates in the regular category passed the examination.
The Grade 12 examinations were conducted from April 27 to May 10 (Baisakh 14–27 in the Nepali calendar), with a total of 418,170 students participating. Of these, 332,241 were regular candidates, while 85,929 were partial (supplementary) candidates, the board stated.
Although the government had directed the board to publish the results within 45 days, the NEB released them ahead of the stipulated deadline. Earlier, the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results were also published within 29 days, despite the government’s instruction to release them within one month.
