Chitwan, June 23: The closed session of the first national convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been postponed until Tuesday due to delays in distributing delegate identity cards. Party spokesperson Manish Jha said additional time was needed to verify delegates’ details, finalize the name list, and print identity cards. The postponement has extended the three-day convention by one day.
RSP officials stated that the closed session will begin only after all delegates receive their identity cards. The party emphasized ensuring transparency and legitimacy in delegate participation. Election Commission Chief Bhuwan KC said election preparations are complete and the leadership selection process will begin after the closed session. The convention will elect a 151-member central committee, including 19 office bearers.
