Kathmandu: The player auction for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) is set to take place today at 1:00 PM. According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), 52 players from the final shortlist of 155 will be signed by the league’s eight franchise teams through the auction. In addition, each franchise will be permitted to retain two more Nepali players.
Among the franchises, Janakpur Bolts have the highest remaining auction purse at NPR 6.625 million, while Kathmandu Gurkhas have the smallest remaining budget of NPR 3.4 million. A total of eight franchise teams will compete in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League.
