Doctors hold protest at Teaching Hospital

Kathmandu, Sept 17: Doctors at Teaching Hospital are currently staging a protest by suspending all non-emergency OPD (Outpatient Department) medical services today.

The Nepal Medical Association has halted all non-emergency services at healthcare institutions nationwide, citing concerns for their safety and demanding action against the perpetrators involved in the Hetauda incident.

On September 13, two doctors were physically assaulted at Sancho Hospital in Hetauda, prompting the Association to call for action against those responsible.

Unfortunately, this suspension of services, excluding emergency cases, has inconvenienced patients. The government has also formed a negotiation team to engage in talks with the protesting Nepal Medical Association.
