Kathmandu, Nov 6 : A US Air Force plane called ‘Diplomatic Flights’ arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday. The next flight is scheduled for Thursday. Sources said that although it was called ‘diplomatic flights’, no further details were given to the government agencies.
The U.S. Embassy’s Military Attache’s Office informed the State Department about a month ago that the Air Force plane was coming. However, details have not been disclosed. According to sources, the Nepal Army has also not given any information about the diplomatic flight even in the letter written to its subordinate units in this regard.
The US Embassy has given a brief information that the aircraft, which arrived at 12:30 pm on Sunday as part of the diplomatic flight, will take off at 2:45 pm on Tuesday night and the next flight that arrives at 9 am on Thursday will take off at 2:15 am on Saturday. It is said that the CATA 202 aircraft, the DO 328 call sign of the Air Force, was used in it.
It is understood that CATA 101, CATA 303 will be the alternative call sign. The plane weighs 15,660 kilograms with its pilots Martin Sayer and Kelly Ivan.
