Maoist’s Krishna Dhital elected as the speaker of Gandaki

Maoist’s Krishna Prasad Dhital has been elected as the Speaker of Ndaki Province. In the meeting held on Saturday in Gandaki province, Dhital was elected by getting 32 votes.

Saraswati Aryal of Nepali Congress got 26 votes against him. 1 Congress MP did not attend.
Independent MP Rajeev Gurung alias Deepak Manange, who did not vote for the Chief Minister, voted for Dhital.

After Dhital, who had registered his candidacy in the beginning, was elected, there was no split in Aryal’s candidacy. Dhital was elected from Gorkha 1(1) in the last representative and provincial assembly elections.
