Surkhet, Jan 11: Gandaki Province has won the third position in the National Volleyball Tournament underway in Surkhet. In the match today, Gandaki defeated the departmental Nepal Army team 3-1 in straight sets. Earlier in the group stage match, Gandaki was defeated by the Army 3-0 in straight sets.
In the first set, Gandaki secured a victory with a score of 25-22. The second set was closely contested with the Army winning with a score of 26-24. Gandaki was dominant in the third set, securing a win of 26-24 against the Army.
In the tie of 24-24 score, Gandaki’s spiker Rabi KC secured two points, making the victory less challenging, in the fourth set and Gandaki was fully dominant, finally winning the match by 25-22.
Two departmental teams APF Club and Nepal Police are competing for the title today.
