Kathmandu: A team of Nobel laureates is coming to Nepal together. Nine Nobel laureates are scheduled to visit Nepal to participate in the ‘International Summit for The Development and Peace of Children’ to be organized by the Lumbini State Government from Fagun 27 to 29. Nobel Peace Prize winner Jose Ramos Orta and Jody Williams will participate in the conference to be organized in coordination with 2014 Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi of India.
Similarly, 2011 joint winners Lehm Bobby and Tuvako Karmyan, 2015 winner Abdessatar Wen Moussa and Vided Busamabui, Nobel Prize in Medical Science Richard Roberts and Chemistry winner Ari Warsal are also coming to Nepal. They will be accompanied by representatives of more than 200 development partners.
This is the first time that a large number of Nobel laureates are coming to Nepal. The conference is expected to promote peace and harmony in the children’s area and contribute to the development of Lumbini.
