Kathmandu, Feb 18: In the first match of the three-day ODI series, the team Canada-XI defeated Nepal ‘A’ by four wickets in the game held at Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground on Sunday.
Canada-XI crushed Nepal ‘A’ by getting the target of 217 runs in 49.3 overs at the loss of six wickets. Batting first, Nepal posted a target of 217 runs to Canada-XI in 50 overs at the loss of eight wickets as Basir Ahammad made 50 runs, Rashid Khan 40 runs and Mayan Yadav 35 runs.
For Canada’s win, Nabanit Dhaliwal made the highest 80 runs in the game while Nikhil Dutt contributed 67 runs.
The second match of the one-day series between Nepal and Canada is scheduled for February 20.
