Kathmandu: St. Xavier’s College has organized empowerment program ‘Hult Prize 2024’ for social entrepreneurs . The Hult prize on campus event, which is held every year, was organized by the college this year with the theme ‘Dedicated to Excellence, Leadership, Service’.

Under the expert guidance of Campus Director Yush Pokharel and Deputy Campus Directors Aaditya Singh and Shuvam Shrestha, the Hult Prize 2024 supported by Vianet Communication Ltd. revealed its magnificence at St. Xavier’s College in an attempt to tackle the most pressing issues facing the globe through the lens of social entrepreneurship. The idea was straightforward but profound: participants were asked to create business plans that addressed important global concerns and showed how they aligned with at least one of the SDGs. Teams of three to five people set out on an ideation and refinement journey that culminated in an on-campus program where they demonstrated their business acumen and creative solutions. The teams competing in the regional summit, where they would match wits with counterparts from various nations and cultures, were the top seeds, so the stakes were very high.

With the primary focus of “Unlimited,” ten teams made an impact, each bringing a powerful blend of creativity, passion, and purpose. These teams refined their pitches and strengthened their resolve to bring about change on a global level, under the direction of detailed guidelines and enhanced by several training sessions led by experienced mentors.

The final phase of the program came with the finals, which was supported by different partners and Vianet as a main sponsor of the event where an esteemed panel of entrepreneurs served as judges and carefully examined each presentation. The atmosphere erupted with excitement as the result of months of hard work and dedication was revealed to a delighted audience.
