Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Leela Giri gets vote of confidence

Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Leela Giri received a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly. Chief Minister Giri got the chief’s vote in the division of votes today in the provincial assembly meeting in Dang Deukhuri.

Giri, who became the Chief Minister on behalf of CPN-UML, was voted by 57 MPs from CPN-UML, Maoist Center, RPP, Civil Liberties Party, Jaspa, Janmat Party, Democratic Socialist Party and Independent. 28 MPs of Nepali Congress and Rashtriya Janamorcha have voted against Giri. There are 87 MPs in the Lumbini State Assembly. Giri was appointed Chief Minister on 27th Push last with the support of 58 MPs.
