Kathmandu, May 23: A photo exhibition entitled ‘Achievements of Republic: Base for Prosperity’ is taking place from today onward. Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) is hosting the photo exhibition on the occasion of the Republic Day, 2081.
The exhibition includes photos of the national and province pride projects constructed or under construction with mobilization of skills, human resource and capital of the three tiers of the government as well as from funding support from neighbours and friendly nations.
RSS executive chairperson Dharmendra Jha said that photographs of the historical heritage destroyed by the Gorkha earthquake of 2072 BS, human development, education, health, industry, roads, irrigation, drinking water and electricity generation will be collected and displayed in the exhibition.
With the establishment of democratic governance in the country, development and construction activities have taken place in an encouraging manner. There has been an increase in the use of innovative technology to build a prosperous Nepal.
Jha said that the photo exhibition would be fruitful in informing about how the government is working to ignite hopes and aspirations of the citizens as per the time and also to instill hope and confidence in the State mechanisms.
The exhibition includes 90 photographs related to physical infrastructure built in all seven provinces.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma is scheduled to inaugurate the exhibition at RSS central office (Bhadrakali Plaza) at 3.00 pm today. On the occasion of Republic Day last year, RSS had organized a photo exhibition titled ‘Our Culture: Our Heritage’.
