Kathmandu, June 25: The 16th meeting of the Nepal-China Diplomatic Consultative Mechanism is currently being held in Kathmandu. Amrit Bahadur Rai, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that the discussions will cover bilateral relations and a wide range of cooperation between Nepal and China.
The agenda includes cooperation in education, health infrastructure, agriculture, economic collaboration, trade, investment, tourism, and communication networks.China’s Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong, arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday morning for a three-day official visit to Nepal to participate in the meeting.
The Nepalis delegation, led by Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, includes senior officials from various ministries. Vice Foreign Minister Sun leads the Chinese delegation.
During his visit, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun will also have separate courtesy meetings with President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. His visit concludes tomorrow, June 26, with his departure from Kathmandu.
