Kathmandu,19 July: Nepal has won a historic victory over UAE in the first match of the ninth edition of the Asia Cup T-20 women’s cricket held in Sri Lanka.
Chasing the target of 116 runs given by UAE, Nepal completed it by losing 4 wickets in 16 overs. Participating in the Asia Cup for the third time, Nepal won the first time.
Samjhana Khadka has completed a half-century for Nepal in the Women’s Asia Cup. Khadka completed her half-century in 35 balls for Nepal, who were chasing the target of 116 runs given by UAE.She scored a half century with the help of 8 fours.
Likewise , Indu Burma, Sita Ranamargar, Pooja Mahato and Ruveena Chhetri scored half centuries. The opener, Yakkan, remained unbeaten on 72 off 45 balls.
Ruveena Chhetri scored 10 runs, Sita Ranamar scored 7 runs, captain Indu Burma scored 6 runs and Kavita Kunwar scored 2 runs. Pooja Mahato remained unbeaten on 7 runs.
