Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated Ek Narayan Aryal on his appointment as the Chief Secretary to the Government of Nepal. On Friday morning, he wrote a status on social networking site Facebook and congratulated him.
Prime Minister Oli hoped that the works of newly appointed Chief Secretary Aryal would be successful in delivering services to the citizens, advancing development projects and maintaining good governance. He has written that the government only leads the policy, the employee administration has a big role to play in making the implementation effective, the governments are periodic, the civil administration is a permanent government, it is better to make the officers of every body accountable for the work of their bodies, to create a page on social media to give details of their work so that the officials of each body can be heard in public.
Similarly, why do people have to stand in line for driving permission, to get service in the hospital, to get citizenship and passport? Why are development projects delayed? Prime Minister Oli said that accountability towards the work would help develop a system in which the concerned authorities would respond and address all these issues immediately.
“There are about 400,000 civil servants (civil servants, teachers and security) from all walks of life. Their success in performance brings satisfaction to the citizens, works move forward and the country succeeds. I wish you success in this work. All employees are not only employed but servants of the citizens. Best wishes for success in the service of the nation,” PM Oli writes.
