Five, including Ward Chairman, died in Ramechhap jeep accident

Ramechhap: Five people have died in a jeep accident in Ramechhap today. According to DSP Pradeep Singh, five people died at the scene and three others were injured when a four-wheel-drive vehicle crashed into a cliff in Simaldanda, Gokulganga Rural Municipality-6, Ramechhap on Friday.

There were eight people in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar Singh, Information Officer at the District Police Office, informed that five people, including Ward Chairman Ramchandra Basnet of Gokulganga Rural Municipality Ward No. 4, were killed in the incident. Similarly, the driver of the jeep, Hira Bahadur Karki, also died. The identities of the three deceased are not yet known.
