Kathmandu, Dec 7: Karnali Yaks defeated Biratnagar Kings by seven runs to register second victory in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Saturday.
To make the team win Karnali stopped Biratnagar on 126 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Karnali’s bowler Nandan Yadav took three wickets alone. Bipin Sharma took two wickets and Sompal Kami, William Bosisto and Unish Thakuri took one wicket each.
Biratnagar’s Nicholas Kirton hit 40 runs whereas Lokesh Bam scored 19 runs and Dipak Bohara scored 18 runs but remained unsuccess to avoid a loss with Karnali.
Earlier, batting first Karnali posted a target of 134 runs for Biratnagar. Karnali’s batsmen Dev Khanal and William Bosisto hit half century each. Khanal and Bosisto scored 53 runs in 48 balls and 66 runs in 49 balls respectively.
