The women of Banke who are demanding justice for Nirmala Kurmi and the Ministry of Home Affairs have reached an agreement on 3 points.With the agreement, the women who have been fasting for 48 days in Maitighar Mandla will return home. Nirmala Kurmi’s husband died in 2062 of Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city of Banke. Four years after her husband’s death, Kurmi’s two sons died mysteriously in November 066 within ten days of each other.
Badshah Kurmi took the citizenship and Lalpurja from Nirmala saying that he would keep property safe after the death of her husband and son.In 075, Nirmala did not disappear and the real estate in her name was also transferred to the name of others. A complaint has also been filed against Badshah Kurmi, who is also the leader of the Nepali Congress, for killing Kurmi after the kidnapping. Badshah Banke, who has been a member of the Constituent Assembly, is also a member of the Lumbini State Assembly from Region No. 3 ‘2’.
Along with rights activist Ruby Khan, Nirmala Kurmi marched on foot from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu in Ashoj 078 demanding justice.The government then formed a committee under the leadership of Home Ministry Secretary Hiralal Regmi to investigate the murder of Nirmala Kurmi.
On Kartik 14,2078, the committee submitted a report to the then Home Minister Balkrishna Khan, stating that Badshah Kurmi should be investigated as he was found guilty.After this report, a complaint was filed against 8 people including Badshah in Banke District Police Office. MP Kurmi has been in attendance since BHadau 2078.
