Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said elimination of corruption and irregularities is an urgent need at present. Speaking at a programme organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of CVM Secondary School at Gatthaghar on Saturday, the Chairman viewed time has come to direct country towards good governance and development. “Government needs to stress on quality education, and education should cater knowledge to make people sensible. Honest and hardworking students should be produced by the educational institutions,” Nepal emphasized.
The former prime minister viewed everyone in society should respect each other and foster the culture to move towards prosperity and progress. “We want friendship. Protection of identity, language, culture, history and good tradition should also be our priorities,” he underlined.
On the occasion, Province Assembly Member Dr Rajendra Man Shrestha viewed today’s education must be globally competitive.Chairman of the National Exam Board Mahashram Sharma mentioned that the students should have the aspiration to be not only doctor and engineer but also a good teacher.
Chairman of the School Shyam Sundar Basnet, Principal Tej Krishna Shretha, and Director Purushottam Budhathoki informed that the school had stressed on cultured education.
