Four candidates filed nomination for VP’s post

Four candidates have been registered for the position of Vice President. One candidate from the UML and three candidates from the ruling coalition. On behalf of UML, Vice President Ashtalakshmi Shakya has registered her candidacy. His proponents are President KP Sharma Oli, Vice President Subaschandra Nemwang, Chavi Lal Bishwakarma, Gokarna Bista, Raghuveer Mahaseth, while his supporters are Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Mahesh Bertaula, Tulsa Dahal, Bhagwati Neupane, Yashoda Rizal.

Similarly, the candidature of JSP parliamentary party leader Ramsahay Prasad Yadav and Pramila Yadav has been registered from the power alliance. His proponents include Ashok Kumar Rai, Pradeep Yadav, Kishan Shrestha, Shakti Basnet, Rameshjung Rayamazhi, while his supporters include Rekha Yadav, Ambika Kafle, Prakash Jwala, Khimlal Devkota, Bhanubhakta Joshi.

Pramila Yadav’s proponents include Ranju Jha, Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav, Navalkishore Shah, Deepak Karki, Rajkishore Yadav, while Anita Devkota, Vimala Subedi, Sita Gurung, Jayanthi Rai, Manis Suman are among her supporters.

Similarly, the proponents and supporters of Janmaat Party leader Mamata Jha, who registered her candidacy from the ruling coalition, do not have MPs from major parties. The election officer’s office had fixed the time of nomination registration from 9 am to 2 pm today. The election for the vice president will be held on March 3.
