Kathmandu: The ‘Trophy Tour’ of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka from February 7, 2026, is set to take place in Nepal. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) issued a press release today (Wednesday) informing that the T20 World Cup Trophy Tour will be organized in Nepal from January 5 to 7.
However, CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama stated that full details regarding the schedule, venues, and activities related to the tour will be made public through a separate press release. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be held from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka, with Nepal also participating in the tournament.
Nepal will begin its World Cup campaign against England on February 8. Nepal has been placed in a group alongside Bangladesh, England, Italy, and the West Indies. According to the schedule, Nepal will play Italy on February 12, West Indies on February 15, and Bangladesh on February 17.
A total of 20 teams participating in the World Cup have been divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage. From the Super 8, four teams will qualify for the semifinals. The final match will be played on March 8.
