Supreme court prepared Over 10,000 case files burnt in Gen Z protest vandalism

Kathmandu. More than 10,000 case files that were burned in a fire at the Supreme Court have been prepared. Out of a total of 24,000 case files at the Supreme Court, 20,000 were destroyed in a fire during the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 24.

Only 4,000 case files were saved from the fire. According to Supreme Court spokesperson Nirajan Pandey, as of Poush 21, case files for 10,340 of the burned cases have been prepared with materials collected from service-seeking institutions and the Office of the Attorney General.

The Supreme Court had requested the Office of the Attorney General, the Nepal Bar Association, and the concerned parties in the cases to provide copies of the burned case files. Accordingly, the work of collecting case files is currently ongoing.
