Journalist Shiva Bhattarai Bhojpure Honored at 59th Anniversary of Janata Secondary School, Trijuga

Biratchowk: On the occasion of the 59th Annual Anniversary and Parents’ Day organized by Janata Secondary School, Trijuga, located at Sundarharaicha–3 in Morang, journalist Shiva Bhattarai Bhojpure was specially honored.

Recognizing his significant contribution through journalism in consistently highlighting education, social awareness, and local development activities, he was honored with a ceremonial shawl and a certificate of appreciation.

Bhattarai, the Chair of Sundarharaicha Update, run by Hasina Media Pvt. Ltd., has long been prioritizing the publication of educational activities, social campaigns, community programs, and positive news from Sundarharaincha and surrounding areas. Appreciating his responsible, factual, and society-oriented journalism, the school family stated that his work has played an important role in strengthening cooperation among schools, parents, and the community.

The program was held under the chairmanship of School Management Committee Chairperson Sobhitman Paudel, with Deputy Mayor of Sundarharaicha Municipality, Akali Chaudhary, attending as the chief guest. On the occasion of the annual celebration, the school distributed the Dahal Scholarship and the Narendra Prasad Sitaula Memorial Scholarship. Awards were also presented to students from Grades 1 to 10 who excelled in examinations, disciplined students, students outstanding in extracurricular activities, and exemplary parents.

The school also bade farewell with honors to former Assistant Headteacher Kedar Prasad Paudel and teacher Amrita Bhattarai. The event was attended by local elected representatives of Sundarharaicha, heads of various organizations, education enthusiasts, principals of different schools, social figures, and parents. Cultural dances and awareness-raising dramas presented by students added further vibrancy to the program.

Addressing the event, Chief Guest Deputy Mayor Chaudhary praised the school’s contributions, stating that Janata Secondary School has played a notable role in developing discipline and values alongside education. She also assured continued support from the municipality for the promotion of such community schools.

Speaking at the program, School Management Committee Chairperson Sobhitman Paudel emphasized that collective efforts from teachers, parents, and the community are essential for the school’s academic progress, discipline, and physical development. He said the school aims to become an exemplary institution with everyone’s support. School Principal Devraj Bhattarai presented the annual report during the program.
