Kathmandu — Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a western low-pressure system. As a result, partly cloudy conditions are prevailing across the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, fog has formed in some areas of the Terai.
This afternoon, the Himalayan region will generally remain cloudy. The hilly regions of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with other hilly areas, are expected to experience partly cloudy weather, while the remaining Terai regions will mostly have clear conditions.
There is a possibility of moderate snowfall and rainfall at a few locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions.
Tonight, the Himalayan region will generally remain cloudy, while the hilly regions of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, and other provinces are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions. The remaining Terai areas are expected to remain clear.
Moderate snowfall and rainfall are likely at a few locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions. Additionally, fog and mist will continue to affect the Terai region. Due to the possibility of light to moderate snowfall and rainfall in some parts of the Himalayan region, temperatures are expected to drop, which may impact daily life, tourism, trekking activities, health services, as well as air and road transportation. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has therefore urged the public to adopt necessary precautions.
