National ID card or passport also valid for voting

Kathmandu: The Election Commission has stated that voters must go to the polling center with their voter ID card or proof of Nepali citizenship in order to cast their vote in the House of Representatives election.

For the election to be held on Falgun 21, the Commission has also clarified that a national identity card, passport, land ownership certificate, or driver’s license will be accepted as valid documents for voting.

According to the Commission, voters whose names are included in the final voter list and who have completed 18 years of age by Falgun 20 will be eligible to vote at their designated polling centers.
