HoR Election Update: Five female candidates elected so far

Kathmandu: In the ongoing vote counting for the House of Representatives election, five female candidates have been elected so far.

According to the Election Commission, Ranju Nyaupane of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected from Kathmandu 1, securing 15,455 votes.

Similarly:

Rubina Acharya of the Rastriya Swatantra Party won from Morang 6 with 55,513 votes.

Bina Gurung of the Rastriya Swatantra Party was elected from Kaski 3 with 37,750 votes.

Komal Gyawali of the Rastriya Swatantra Party secured victory from Kailali 1 with 17,826 votes.

Basana Thapa of the Nepali Congress was elected from Dailekh 1, receiving 12,372 votes.

In the ongoing vote count, the following female candidates are currently leading in their respective constituencies:

Sobika Gautam in Chitwan 3

Dr. Tosima Karki in Lalitpur 3

Indira Rana Magar in Jhapa 2

Nisha Dangi in Jhapa 1

Nitima Bhandari in Sarlahi 1

Ashika Tamang in Dhading 1

Pushpa Kumari Chaudhary in Saptari 1

Gauri Kumari in Mahottari 4

According to the Commission, results have been announced in 45 constituencies so far. Out of the 165 constituencies under the first-past-the-post electoral system, vote counting is currently ongoing in 118 constituencies.
