15th general convention of Nepali Congress to be held in Bhadra

Kathmandu — The Nepali Congress has made public a proposed schedule for its 15th General Convention. According to the proposal prepared by the party’s Central Working Committee, the General Convention is targeted to be held in Kathmandu from Bhadra 24 to 26, 2083 (Nepali calendar).

As per the proposed timetable, conventions in all 6,743 wards across the country will be conducted simultaneously on Shrawan 6, informed party president Gagan Kumar Thapa. Likewise, conventions at the rural municipality and municipality levels are scheduled to be completed on Shrawan 12.

The Provincial Assembly constituency conventions will take place on Shrawan 23, followed by the House of Representatives constituency conventions on Shrawan 30. District-level conventions have been scheduled for Bhadra 6 and 7, while provincial-level conventions will be held on Bhadra 15 and 16.

Chairperson Thapa stated that the proposed schedule will be implemented after it is approved by the party’s आगामी Central Working Committee meeting.
