Kathmandu — The weather across the country is currently partly to generally cloudy due to the partial influence of a western disturbance along with local winds.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, hilly and mountainous regions, including Koshi Province, are generally experiencing cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country remains partly cloudy.
At present, light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, is occurring at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province.
This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Province are expected to remain generally cloudy, while other such regions will experience partly cloudy conditions. The Terai region is likely to see mostly clear weather.
There is a possibility of light rainfall or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, as well as at one or two places in other provinces.
Similarly, tonight, the hilly and mountainous regions, including Sudurpashchim Province, are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Terai region will experience partly to generally clear weather.
The Department has also urged the public to remain cautious of potential risks associated with rainfall, lightning, and snowfall.
