Kathmandu: The Supreme Court has resolved 16,634 cases in the last fiscal year, accounting for 40.82 percent of the total cases.The total caseload stood at 40,741, including 25,728 cases carried over from the previous fiscal year and 15,013 newly registered cases.
According to Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala, the case resolution rate increased by 6.69 percent compared to the previous year.
Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut submitted the annual report for fiscal year 2081–82 to President Ram Chandra Paudel today.
At the High Court level, 73.67 percent of cases were resolved, while District Courts resolved 62.10 percent of cases. Overall, courts and tribunals resolved 62.29 percent of total cases, leaving 149,560 cases pending.
