Former minister Deepak Khadka arrested

Kathmandu: Former minister and Nepali Congress leader Deepak Khadka has been arrested. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police apprehended Khadka from Budhanilkantha.

According to CIB spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiv Kumar Shrestha, Khadka was taken into custody for investigation under a money laundering case.

Khadka was arrested after the Department of Money Laundering Investigation sent a letter to the Police Headquarters requesting further investigation. It is reported that a sum of money was discovered at his residence in Budhanilkantha during the protests held on Bhadra 23 and 24.
