Kathmandu — The country is currently experiencing the partial influence of westerly winds, local winds, a low-pressure area near the eastern region of Nepal in the lower atmosphere, and a low-pressure trough in the upper atmosphere over the central and eastern regions, according to the Hydrology and Meteorology Department’s Weather Forecasting Division.
The Division stated that Koshi Province, along with the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces, is expected to witness generally cloudy conditions, while the Terai region will experience partly cloudy weather. Similarly, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, at a few places in other hilly and mountainous regions, and at one or two places in the Terai region.
According to the Division, tonight the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are likely to remain generally cloudy, while the remaining areas will see partly cloudy conditions. There is also a possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, at a few places in other hilly and mountainous regions, and at one or two places in the Terai region.
