Kathmandu — Nepal is set to face the United States today in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series. The match will begin at 9:30 AM at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Nepal, the United States, and Scotland are participating in the ongoing League 2 ODI tri-nation series being held in Nepal. Nepal currently stands seventh in the points table with 18 points from 25 matches, while the United States is in second place with 36 points from 25 games. The USA had topped the table before this series, but Scotland moved to first place after securing two consecutive victories. Scotland now has 38 points from 30 matches.
Earlier matches played in Kirtipur on Tuesday and Thursday saw Scotland defeat both Nepal and the United States by narrow margins of two runs each.
Nepal and the United States have faced each other 11 times in One Day Internationals so far. Nepal has won four matches, lost six, while one match ended in a tie.
