Kathmandu — The National Examination Board (NEB) is preparing to publish the Grade 12 examination results within 45 days of the completion of the exams. The Board has intensified the result-processing work, even though only two weeks have passed since the examinations concluded.
According to the Board, more than 50 percent of the work related to result publication has already been completed. Examination Controller Krishna Sharma stated that more than half of the answer sheets have already been checked.
He informed that the marks obtained from the evaluated answer sheets have also undergone verification and have already been entered into the computer system. Sharma said that as soon as the evaluation of answer sheets for any subject is completed, the verification process begins immediately, followed by the entry of marks into the computer system without delay.
To expedite the publication of results, the Board had started evaluating answer sheets from the very day the examinations ended. Answer sheets are currently being checked at 42 centers across the country.
Controller Sharma said, “The result publication process will not exceed 45 days after the completion of the examinations. We are working to publish the results even earlier if possible.”
A total of 418,000 students from across the country appeared in the examinations.
Earlier, the Board had also published the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) within just 29 days of the completion of the exams, marking the fastest result publication in SEE history.
Previously, the publication of SEE and Grade 12 examination results generally used to take around three months after the completion of the examinations.
