Birgunj – Rajeshman Singh, the Mayor of Birgunj Metropolitan City, has been arrested. The arrest was carried out by the Parsa Police eight days after the Parsa District Court issued an arrest warrant against him.
According to Sudip Raj Pathak, Chief of the District Police Office, Parsa, Mayor Singh was apprehended while staying in the Thori area of Parsa district.
On the 12th of the month, the Parsa District Court issued an arrest warrant against Mayor Singh in connection with an investigation into a document-related offense. The warrant was issued against Singh and two other individuals based on a complaint filed by local resident Liaqat Ali. Police have taken Mayor Singh into custody at the District Police Office, Parsa, and further investigation into the case is underway.
