Kathmandu: A meeting of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. today.
Discussion on the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year will begin during the meeting. A general discussion on the annual revenue and expenditure estimates (budget) for the next fiscal year will commence. Several bills are also expected to be presented.
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will propose the motion to begin a general discussion on the annual revenue and expenditure estimates for Fiscal Year 2083/84 (2026/27). The budget discussion will then begin, and the Finance Minister will later respond to questions raised during the debate. As part of legislative business, Minister Wagle will seek permission to introduce the following bills:
