Kathmandu — The Promotion Committee Secretariat of the Nepal Police Headquarters has recommended 363 police constables from various technical groups for promotion to the rank of Assistant Head Constable.
The recommendation was made by the meeting of the Promotion Committee held on June 12, 2026 (Jestha 29, 2083 BS) in accordance with Rule 27(4) of the Nepal Police Regulations, 2071 (as amended). The committee recommended a total of 363 police constables from various technical sub-groups for promotion to the post of Assistant Head Constable.
The recommendations are distributed as follows:
Technical Police Group – Engineering Sub-group, Housing and Physical Infrastructure Engineering: 24 personnel
Technical Police Group – Information Technology/Computer: 14 personnel
Engineering Sub-group – Communications: 198 personnel
Engineering Sub-group – Mechanical Engineering and Transport: 32 personnel
Technical Police Group – Armament Sub-group: 2 personnel
Forensic Science Sub-group: 6 personnel
Music Sub-group: 63 personnel
Canine (K-9) Sub-group: 24 personnel
In total, 363 police constables have been recommended for promotion.
The Promotion Committee stated that the merit list was prepared and published based on the candidates’ overall scores, taking into account their job performance, educational qualifications, and training achievements.
