Kathmandu — A meeting of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to convene again today. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Singha Durbar.
During the session, discussions will continue on various budget headings under the Appropriation Bill, 2083 (2026/27). The agenda includes deliberations on the budget allocations for the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation; Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; Ministry of Infrastructure Development; Ministry of Home Affairs; Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Defence; the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers; the Secretariat of the National Planning Commission; and the Offices of the President and Vice President.
Members of Parliament will also present proposals seeking reductions in expenditure allocations for the respective ministries. In addition, the Speaker is scheduled to table a condolence motion following the passing of former House of Representatives member Mangal Prasad Gupta.
