Kathmandu: At present, the monsoon system is affecting the entire areas of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, as well as some parts of Gandaki Province and the eastern region of Lumbini Province.
Other parts of the country are experiencing partial influence from western winds and local winds.
On Tuesday morning, rainfall was reported at one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Bahuni in Morang recorded 22 millimeters of rainfall during the past hour.
Over the last 24 hours, light to moderate and heavy rainfall has occurred across all seven provinces.
For Tuesday afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
There is also a chance of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at a few places in the Terai region of Koshi Province and at one or two locations in Madhesh Province and the Terai areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Some areas of the Terai region in Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces are likely to experience heatwave conditions, while a few places in the Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces may experience hot weather during the day.
Tonight, moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning are likely at some places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi Province and at a few locations in the mountainous and hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
