The Election Commission has called for party registration for the House of Representatives by-election. According to Article 271 of the Constitution, the Commission has issued a party registration notice today for the by-elections to be held on Baisakh 10. The parties who want to participate in the by-elections can register their parties with the commission from tomorrow till this 12th Sunday.
According to the Commission, the parties registered with the Commission till 5th of March can apply for registration to participate in the by-elections. According to Section 4 of the Political Parties Act, 2073, the political parties registered till the 5th of Chait, in accordance with Article 271 of the Constitution of Nepal and Section 48 of the Political Parties Act, 2073, within the office hours, within the framework of the Regulations on Political Parties, Schedule-12 of 2074, by the Election Commission. It is mentioned in the notification that the party has been notified to apply for party registration at the main office.
A copy of the decision taken by the Central Committee must be submitted to register the party for by-election purposes. For the purpose of participating in the by-election of Chitwan District Region No. 2, which will be held on May 10, the registered political parties do not have to submit the party’s statutes, regulations and manifesto.
