Bagmati Provincial Assembly is taking place today at 1 pm. Earlier, a meeting was called on Wednesday. But the meeting could not be held because the Congress MPs were absent that day. The meeting was adjourned to Friday today after Congress MPs, who were dissatisfied with the power sharing issue, said they would not attend the meeting.
Chief Minister Shalikram Jammakattel has prepared to take a vote of confidence in the state assembly meeting. Jamkattel, the leader of the Maoist center, was appointed Chief Minister on Push 25 with the support of 105 MPs from 6 parties including Congress, UML and RPP. He also took the vote of confidence on Magh 3.
After the RPP withdrew its support, Chief Minister Jammakattel is going to take the vote of confidence again. There are 110 MPs in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly. 56 MPs should support the vote of confidence.
