Kathmandu. The country currently has a general influence of westerly winds along with local winds. At present, the weather is generally clear in the rest of the hilly areas with partly cloudy weather.
The weather will remain generally clear in hilly areas of the country with partly cloudy to moderate showers in the afternoon. There is a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki regions and one or two places in the rest of the hilly areas.
In hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali regions, the weather will be partly cloudy at night, and the weather will remain generally clear in the rest of the country. There is a chance of light rain with thunderstorm at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki regions.
In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places in the rest of the hilly areas of the country. Department of Water and Meteorology has informed to take necessary precautions to prevent damage from thunder, lightning and wind.
