Kathmandu, April 25: Lawmakers have put up various current issues in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR). CPN (UML) leader Surya Prasad Dhakal demanded that the people victimized by a fire at Narenapur in Banke district on April 21 be provided with reliefs and compensation. Many houses and properties worth over Rs 2.5 million were destroyed in the fire.
Hit Bahadur Tamang from the CPN (Maoist Centre) drew the attention of the government to address the demands by a farmer Shreeram Ghimire of Kakani Rural Municipality-2 in Nuwakot district, who is on a hunger strike at Bhugol Park in Kathmandu since a week putting forth a five-point demand relating to agriculture.
