Birendranagar: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Raj Kumar Sharma, has said prosperity campaign was launched in the province. “There is poverty in Karnali Province, but once its resources are utilized fully, it has potential to run the entire nation,” Sharma observed. CM Sharma said it while inaugurating the branch office of Citizen Investment Trust at Birendranagar, Surkhet on Monday.
CM Sharma reminded that government had brought policies and programmes for the development and prosperity of Karnali Province. ‘Good governance and infrastructure for education, health and employment’ is the slogan set by Province government here, he said, adding that they had aimed at creating 10,000 jobs to the youths every year here. Industries based on agriculture and forest products would be established.
Moreover, the Chief Minister blamed that the financial institutions in Karnali Province failed to focus on people. He urged CIT to devote to people’s service. On the occasion, Chairman of CIT, Prof Dr Surya Bahadur Thapa, informed that CIT had expanded it service by keeping in centre the people’s interest and service.
